### We are hiring! Junior data & science analyst

ScoutinScience is expanding and looking for a data & science analyst (8-16 hrs/ week). 

Our mission is to double technology transfer by 2050. We believe every innovation can profoundly impact society and are dedicated to realising this potential. Our AI platform automatically scouts and qualifies scientific publications, using state-of-the-art natural language processing models, for their tech-transfer potential. The ranked results are provided in an online dashboard and enable research institutions to maximize the impact of research, increase deal flow and identify partnership opportunities.
 
### The role 

As a junior analyst, you are an integral part of the team that is responsible for providing input to the R&D/ AI development team. You are part of the project team, responsible for analyzing scientific papers and ranking them on business potential. Moreover, you’ll provide insight into why papers are considered impactful.

Junior Data Analyst

ScoutinScience is expanding and looking for a full-stack Software Engineer. (full-time)

Our AI platform automatically scouts and qualifies scientific publications, using state-of-the-art natural language processing models, for their tech-transfer potential. The ranked results are provided in an online dashboard and enable research institutions to maximize the impact of research, increase deal flow and identify partnership opportunities.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and ship new features for a dashboard web application, ensuring high performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Participate in the maintenance of current software, including bug fixes, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code in various programming languages, including TypeScript, Python, and relevant frameworks.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
- Occasionally, participate in projects where the development of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) is required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in approach.

**Requirements**
- Experience in backend development using C# and ASP.NET, with a strong understanding of MVC pattern and Entity Framework or similar technologies, as well as proficiency in backend development using Python, particularly with frameworks like FastAPI.
- Experience in frontend development, using React with Typescript or equivalent technologies to create dynamic and intuitive user interfaces.
- Experience with relational and document databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar, and ability to optimize database queries and performance.
- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture, REST API design principles, and software testing methodologies.

**Nice to have**
- Experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions and Docker
- Experience with web scraping techniques and tools
- Interest in Machine Learning and Data Analysis, especially NLP tools

We are a dynamic team based in Enschede looking for a proactive and motivated **Marketing & Business Development Intern **to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, develop key skills, and gain hands-on experience in the fields of marketing, sales, and innovation.
- Part-time or full-time
- 3–6 months internship, with a flexible start date
- On-site at our office in Enschede (Connect-U, Center of Enschede)

**What you'll do:**
Your work will cover a variety of activities, including (but not limited to):
- Supporting marketing and sales activities
- Assisting with email marketing automation tools
- Assisting with lead generation and CRM management
- Performing administrative tasks to support the marketing and sales teams
- Supporting market and competitive research

**You are a great fit if you are:**
- Currently enrolled as a student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a relevant field (e.g., marketing, business, sales)
- Knowledgeable about marketing and sales practices
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Passionate about innovation 
- Have an interested in AI and technologies
- Fluent in English 

**Nice to have:**
- Experience with email marketing tools and automation
- Knowledge of HubSpot or similar CRM tools
- Dutch Proficiency
