As a user you have the possibility to share multiple personal data with us in your profile. The reason for being able to share this data is functional. For example, our applications can be used to search for opportunities for valorization using 'big data'.
As a user, you are part of a community. It may be that the administrator of the community requires its users to share certain data. Agreements about this are made between the user(s) and the relevant community administrator.
Automated decision-making Scout in Science B.V. does not make decisions about issues that can (significantly) affect people based on automated processing. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems, without a human being (for example an employee of Scout in Science B.V.) being involved.
Storage of personal data Scout in Science B.V. will not store your personal data longer than strictly necessary to realize the purposes for which your data is collected. We apply the following retention periods for the following (categories) of personal data: First and last name, e-mail address: the data will be kept for 2 years after deactivation of the account. The reason for this is that our clients may have to deal with inspections/ accreditations.
Sharing personal data with third parties Scout in Science B.V. will not sell your data to third parties and will only share it with third parties if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We will sign a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf, in order to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Scout in Science B.V. remains responsible for this processing. Personal data will not be shared outside the EU.

To make sure that the request is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identity document with the request. Make in this copy your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN) black. This is to protect your privacy. Scout in Science B.V. will respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any case within four weeks.

How we secure personal data Scout in Science B.V. takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized changes.
