The future of AI isn't just about smarter models. It's about smarter connections.
On 19–20 October, our colleagues Ophir Ackerman and Giannis Kamperakis attended AI & Big Data Expo Europe 2026 at RAI Amsterdam, exploring the latest developments in AI, data intelligence, cybersecurity and real-world AI applications.
One key takeaway stood out: The real value of AI lies not only in the technology itself, but in the quality, context and connections of the data behind it. Across two days of insightful sessions, industry experts explored some of the challenges shaping the future of AI:
- Connected data and business context: Breaking down information silos, connecting data across organisations and giving AI the context it needs to deliver meaningful results.
- Trustworthy and scalable AI: Moving beyond successful models to build reliable applications through entity resolution, secure data access, evaluation and governance.
- AI in practice: Exploring efficient, locally hosted AI solutions, responsible deployment and the role of collaboration in addressing emerging cybersecurity challenges.
At ScoutinScience, these discussions strongly resonate with what we offer. Our connected data foundation brings together researchers, publications, patents, companies and funding opportunities, using specialised AI to transform complex research and innovation data into actionable intelligence. By connecting these dots, we help organisations uncover promising research, identify relevant funding opportunities, find the right partners and build stronger collaborations.
A big thank you to TechEx Europe for bringing together such an inspiring community of innovators and industry experts!
We also want to thank Oracle, Senzing, Shell and GLS for the insightful sessions, and Black Duck, Okta, Passbolt and Ana F. Povh from Tiko Pro for the engaging conversations and valuable exchange of ideas.
Special thanks to all the contributors who shared their expertise: Hammad Hussain | Rich Clayton | Oscar Colino Garcia | Aswin Peter | Cien S. | Erbin Lim | Wesley Wuyts | Dr. Gurpinder Dhillon And of course, thank you to Ophir and Giannis for representing us and bringing fresh perspectives back to our team!
