Where in Europe is research on AI and high performance computing for green mobility actually happening, and who is driving it?

Produced by ScoutinScience as part of the GreenShift project, funded by the EU, this report analyses research output on AI and HPC applied to green mobility, sustainable transport, and logistics across France, the Netherlands, Ireland, Luxembourg and Belgium, for the period June 2025 to June 2026. It is the first edition in a series that will progressively cover the whole of Europe.

Drawing on publication data from OpenAlex and ScoutinScience's own relevance scoring, the report highlights the leading universities and researchers, the most active companies, the trending topics shaping the field, and a selection of notable 2026 papers. Together they give a clear picture of where expertise is developing and where new skills and collaboration opportunities may emerge.
